
Nana Asare Bediako III, Chief of Akyem Akokoaso in the Akyemansa District of the Eastern Region, has announced plans to sponsor citizens of the town to pursue higher education.
Addressing his people during the launch of the Nana Asare Bediako Education and Health Foundation, the Chief emphasized that education is crucial for the town’s development, and his initiative aims to help residents achieve their academic goals.
Nana Asare Bediako III noted that while government support covers Senior High School education, his foundation will focus on supporting individuals to attain tertiary education.
He stated that students who perform well in their examinations will be sponsored for tertiary education, and those who need improvement will also receive support to re-sit failed papers and progress to tertiary institutions.
The foundation will additionally provide assistance to individuals in need of medical care.
The Chief promised that the foundation’s support will be inclusive, benefiting everyone without discrimination.
The CEO of Kofata Motors, Dr. Emmanuel Nyarko, popularly known as The Great Kofata, commended Nana Asare Bediako III for this noble initiative and called on all stakeholders to join efforts to make the foundation a success, stressing that collective participation is needed for its impact.
Speaking on behalf of District Chief Executive (DCE) Hon. Linda Ahenkora, the NDC Secretary for the Akyemansa District pledged the DCE’s support to help the Chief achieve the foundation’s objectives.
