
Alliance Drivers of Ghana whose wards entered Senior High School for the first time have lauded the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the introduction of the Free Senior High School policy and free water for 6 months.
This according to them , the introduction of the Free SHS policy by the Akufo-Addo-led government has brought huge financial relief to Ghanaian’s especially drivers as it has taken away their stress and burdens.
To the Association, despite the challenges that have engulfed on free SHS implementation, there is still a big dose of gratitude on the part of Alliance Drivers of Ghana who are benefiting from the Free SHS Policy by the Nana Addo government.
“We want to express our sincere appreciation to President Nana Akufo Addo, for the implementation of the Free Senior High School policy and the ability to maintain it. Our love for you will never end. Something that former president John Dramani Mahama said it wasn’t possible you made it become possible,” they stressed.
They further that Ghana, Africa, and, indeed, the world is already witnessing the impact of of the Free Senior High School Policy on the lives of hundreds of thousands of Ghanaians, which, for them, “is the reason number one that we thought he deserves to be praised.”
In the first year of the implementation of the Free SHS policy, 90,000 more students entered senior high school in 2017 than they did in 2016. Again, in 2018, the second year of the policy, 180,000 more students have been admitted into senior high schools across the country.
From the beginning, as he assumed office, he made it very clear that his number one priority was to ensure that the youth of Ghana get the opportunity, and were able to get jobs, and he implemented the policy of “One District, One Factory”, which is really promoting the youth entrepreneurship, and making sure that the rural youth got an opportunity for employment.
The Association continued that President Nana Akufo-Addo’s persistence and perseverance is not giving up on his vision of serving Ghana, and he has to be emulated by this generation of African youth.
Speaking at a press briefing, Mr. Kweku Boateng, the Public Relation Officer of Alliance Drivers of Ghana stated in categorically that Nana Akufo Addo is a listening President who has shown great leadership to mitigate the effects of coronavirus pandemic on our economy.
Adding that former President John Mahama increased electricity bill even in the mist of “‘Dumso”. But President Nana Akufo Addo, aside reducing the price of electricity by 50% and also making water free for the whole country, he also reduced fuel prices drastically and made some funds available to support small scale businesses which former President John Mahama couldn’t do.
“As we are talking now, a gallon of petrol and diesel is hovering around

twenty one Ghana cedis (GHc21) which is a little above the 18.75p the NDC left in 7th January , 2017. Mr. Kweku Boateng, addressing the media made mentioned that during Nana Akufo Addo, government towing Levy is now a thing of the past, and drivers holding license B can now drive sprinter cars in peace.
According to him, Ghanaian’s have witnessed massive road infrastructure, from the Construction of new roads to asphalting making the declaration of 2020 the year of roads a dream come through.
The roads which include, the 3-tier Tema Roundabout which has been completed and commissioned , the ongoing 4-tier Pokuase interchange , the Kumasi -lake road and drainage expansion projects and many more.
