The Bishop of the Akyem Oda Methodist Church urges leaders to embrace humility in their leadership roles.

The Diocesan Bishop of the Akyem Oda Methodist Church, Ghana, Very Rev. Kwame Boateng, has advised everyone to cultivate humility in all aspects of life.

He noted that many politicians, pastors, and leaders often rush through life without humility.

The Bishop referenced the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of eight heroes who were on a mission to protect the environment.

He emphasized that if gold mining were done responsibly, without galamsey, such tragedies might be avoided.

While acknowledging the importance of gold mining, Very Rev. Kwame Boateng stressed the need to do it in a way that preserves the environment for future generations.

He warned that reckless exploitation of natural resources would have severe consequences for the country’s future.

The Bishop also criticized the greed that drives some individuals to prioritize quick wealth and fame over responsible decision-making.

He urged the youth to be patient and not rush to get rich, emphasizing that peace of mind is equally valuable as material wealth.

According to him, the youth’s desire for quick success can lead to detrimental outcomes, such as running businesses into the ground after achieving initial success.

Very Rev. Kwame encouraged the youth to adopt a more patient and sustainable approach to life.
