The Church of Pentecost Akyem Oda Area Promotes Peaceful Elections*

The Church of Pentecost’s Akyem Oda Area has taken a significant step towards promoting peace in the upcoming December elections.

As part of their efforts, they organized a peaceful walk to raise awareness about the importance of peace during the electoral process.

This initiative is part of The Church of Pentecost’s broader “Agent of Peace” campaign, which aims to promote peace and unity across Ghana.

The event drew participants from all walks of life, demonstrating the community’s commitment to peaceful coexistence.

Apostle Samuel Acquaah, Akyem Oda Area Head of the Church of Pentecost, emphasized the church’s belief in peace and unity.

He urged everyone to prioritize peace, regardless of their political affiliations, and to focus on campaigning with ideas rather than violence.

Apostle Samuel Acquaah reminded the community that they are all one people and should not allow elections to divide them.

Hon. Alexander Akwasi Acquah, Deputy Minister of Health and MP for Akyem Oda constituency, commended the Church of Pentecost for their initiative.

He encouraged other churches to follow suit and promote peace in their communities.

Acquah emphasized that elections should be about sharing ideas, not violence, and highlighted the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) commitment to peaceful campaigning.

Hon. Joyce Adwoa Agyeiwa, MCE for Birim Central Municipality, called on women to actively promote peace across the country.

She noted that women and children are often the most affected by conflict and urged everyone to continue protecting the peace in Ghana.

Apostle Mark Opare Boi, GPCC chairman, highlighted Ghana’s peaceful history since 1992.

He emphasized the importance of maintaining peace before, during, and after the December elections, and encouraged citizens to reject any attempts to incite violence.
