The Member of Parliament for Abuakwa South constituency Eastern Region Hon. Samuel Atta Akyia, has expressed his optimism about Ghana’s future under the leadership of Vice President Dr. Mahamud Bawumia.
In an interview with Oyerepa TV during the Eastern Regional Tour of the NPP presidential candidate, Dr. Bawumia, at Akyem Abenase Eastern Region Hon. Atta Akyia at Akyem, stated that considering the projects undertaken by the current government, it would be beneficial to allow Dr. Bawumia to continue the work started by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
According to Hon. Atta Akyia, if Ghanaians vote for Dr. Bawumia, he will return to account for his actions, but if they vote for the NDC presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama, it would be like going on a “honeymoon” – implying a lack of accountability.
He emphasized that politics should focus on good ideas rather than insults and fights, and he believes Dr. Bawumia is the better choice for the nation.
Hon. Atta Akyia reiterated that Ghana’s future is bright with Dr. Bawumia at the helm.
The Minister of Works and Housing, Hon. Kojo Oppong, pledged that the people of Ofoase Ayirebi will always support Dr. Bawumia due to the numerous developments the NPP government has brought to the constituency and the country as a whole.
He highlighted the government’s achievements in the roads, health, education, and other sectors, and expressed confidence that the people of Ofoase Ayirebi will vote massively for the NPP to “break the 8” in the upcoming election.
