The founder and General Overseer of the True Chapel Faith Ministry Int., Apostle Opoku Wiafe has said there is nothing wrong for Churches to embark on trips to the beach during Easter festivities to admire nature and enjoy themselves by sharing the gospel with others.
He said such trips also help the members to refresh their minds
He said what makes it wrong is when Christians go to the beach and other events and engage in all manner of illicit activities which are contrary to the word of God in the name of celebration of Easter.
He debunked the assertion held by some that Easter is a borrowed celebration from the Romans by Christians, but has however advised the youth to refrain from using the celebration to engage in nefarious sexual activities.
Meanwhile, the founder of Christian United Church (CUC) in Agona Swedru, Pastor Kojo Famous has advised Christians to learn to celebrate the occasion in moderation in the future, to avoid any unforeseen circumstance.
According to him, the devil intensifies schemes to take away the souls of people, including Christians during occasions such as Easter and Christmas under the influence of celebration.
