The Member of Parliament for Akyem Swedru constituency, Hon. Kennedy Osei Nyarko, has stated that Ghana doesn’t need a new regime to steer the affairs of the nation.
Instead, he believes the current government should be allowed to continue ruling and bring development.
The MP, who is also the Chairman of the Road Committee in Parliament, made these comments in an interview with the media after a unity walk.
He acknowledged that there are difficulties in the nation but urged Ghanaians to give the current government a chance to make things right, rather than voting against them.
He suggested that breaking the eight-year cycle of changing governments could be a new approach, giving the current government 12 years to deliver on their promises.
Mr. Kwasi Kwenin Bosompem, former Controller and Accountant General, urged Ghanaians to vote massively for Dr. Bawumia and Hon. Kennedy Osei Nyarko, citing their contributions to the nation’s development.
The Eastern Regional Chairman for NPP, Mr. Jeff Konadu, expressed confidence in the party’s chances in the region, citing the numerous projects they have completed.
He dismissed any suggestions that NPP would not perform well in the region, likening Eastern Region to a “Bolgatanga market” for NPP, where any dog that goes there would face consequences.
He urged the people to vote for NPP to break the eight-year cycle.
