Wesgro, in conjunction with the Embassy of the United States of America, USAID, the Trade Law Centre and the United States Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, will host its inaugural seminar on the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) on Tuesday February 6, 2018.
AGOA provides for preferential access into the United States for goods from qualifying Sub-Saharan African countries.
There are many opportunities for companies based in the Western Cape to leverage these opportunities, and the seminar will seek to better equip these businesses with the knowledge they need to take advantage of this relationship.
Wesgro CEO, Tim Harris, will be joined by Professor Faizel Ismail, Advisor on International Trade and Economic Development to the Department of Trade and Industry, Eckart Naumann, an Economist and TRALAC Associate, and Juan M Commarano from the Embassy for the United States of America.
Members of the media are invited to attend and refreshments and snacks will be served.
