Hon. Alexander Akwasi Acquah, Member of Parliament for Akyem Oda Constituency in the Birim Central Municipality Eastern Region, has reaffirmed his commitment to supporting students in the area.
Demonstrating his dedication to enhancing education and investing in the youth’s future, he provided financial assistance and distributed essential items to about 600 fresh senior high school students.
The items included gari, stationery, chop boxes, biscuits, and sardines, aimed at easing the financial burden on parents.
Hon. Acquah pledged support to deter students from involvement in illegal mining (_galamsey_), noting its risks and impact on youth, including young women.
The MP urged students to excel academically, assuring them of the constituency’s support.
Nana Sasu, Awosohene of Akyem Kotoku State, encouraged students to study diligently, noting the MP’s gesture was uncommon in their time.
He promised collaboration with Hon. Acquah for future student support.
Both leaders stressed academic focus and avoiding distractions for a successful future.
The initiative reflects efforts to bolster educational outcomes and steer youth towards positive pursuits in Akyem Oda Constituency.
