Apostle E. K. Owusu, diocesan head of Sunyani diocese of the Church of The Lord Brotherhood, has urged the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to hold a peaceful flagbearership election on January 30.
He made this call during Bishop Eric K. Mante’s enthronement service at Akyem Oda Church of The Lord Brotherhood.
Apostle Owusu emphasized the importance of unity and fairness in the election, noting that the party’s decision to hold an election rather than appoint a candidate reflects its commitment to democracy.
He advised NPP executives and the five candidates to prioritize a peaceful, free, and fair election for a 2028 victory.
The newly enthroned Bishop Eric K. Mante pledged support for widows in the church and appealed for help to meet expectations. Akyem Oda MP Alexander Akwasi Acquah praised the church’s contributions to national development and encouraged continued efforts.
