The Principal kingmaker (Dzasetse) of Ga Abola Piam Tunma We Royal Dynasty family Nii Ayi Ana Konteh I, has on called on His Excellency the President John Dramani Mahama and the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) government to refrain from interference in Ga chieftaincy matter—specifically regarding succession to the Ga Paramount Royal Stool—Ga Mantse.
He advised that the “hidden hands” of political power influence should not dictate traditional leadership for the Ga State, stressing that President His Excellency John Dramani Mahama is being completely misled by his own followers and elders/members of the Ga Traditional Council, regarding Ga Paramount Stool Chieftaincy affair.
Nii Ayi Ana Konteh I,advised President Dramani Mahama to completely “stay away from Ga Paramount Royal Stool chieftaincy issue” and urged the current NDC government to avoid interfering in the selection of traditional Paramount leader, arguing that such actions are untraditional and unlawful and could create some form of emenity from the GA’s
His calls come amid heightened tensions and confusions in Ga Mashie with the kingmaker urging the current NDC government and His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama administration to avoid imposing leaders, suggesting that political interference undermines the authority of kingmakers and local customs.
Nii Ayi Ana Konteh l couldn’t fathom why His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama and his NDC government who is aware of the growing chieftaincy dispute regarding the Ga Paramount Royal Stool will continue to give several invitations to Tackie Teiko Tsuru II and his elders to attend government organised programmes, saying that their actions completely amount to the breach of the traditional and customary laws of the country.
Addressing Senior journalists, Nii Ayi Ana Konteh l , who serves as a renowned journalist for over twenty Six years stated categorically that Nii Tackie Adama Latse II has remained legitimately lawfully and traditionally installed Paramount Chief of Ga Traditional Area, insisting that Tackie Teiko Tsuru II is NOT the lawful recognised installed chief to ascend the throne of Ga Paramount Royal Stool.
Provided documentary evidence to support his claims, the Ga kingmaker reiterated a call on a member of Ga Traditional Council (GTC) in the personality of Nii Ayibonte GBESE mantse to Confess the “TRUTH ” to His Excellency President Dramani Mahama.
“I am using this opportunity as a traditional ruler with respect and kingmaker of the highest and first Royal Dynasty family of the entire Ga State to repeat my call on all members of the Ga Traditional Council as well as all the security intelligence officer of the previous New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration to confess in Honesty to His Excellency the President John DRAMANI Mahama with ultimate respect on the true state of affairs of the Ga State and who is its rightful Ga Mantse.
The traditional ruler said in a passionate mood that all people around President John Dramani Mahama and members of the GA traditional council within the Greater Accra Region are respectfully just misleading our president and confusing him to accept lies which they have been propagating for some time now as who is the rightful Ga mantse.
The kingmaker further warned that President Mahama Mahama must be told the truth to stop wasting any state resources or funds on the said King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II as GA Mantse.
He stated it has revealed to all four Ga Paramount royal families that there has never been traditional ruler name among all the black stools in the Ga Mantse stool room nor any existence stool name for any Ga Mantse know as Tackie Teiko Tsuru in our ancestry lineage as a Ga Mantse title or capacity name.
He stressed the urgent need for President Dramani Mahama to set up a commission of enquiry on all these mess.
“One of the most priority for voting massively for his Excellency John Dramani Mahama was to remedy the political influence leading to the fraudulent change of a sitting Ga Mantse in the capacity of King Boni Tackie Adama Latse II and orchestrating through the then office of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his NPP administration leadership to forcefully removed the rightful Ga mantse and bring King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II to office unlawfully without the consent of the head of family Ga Abola Piam Tunma We Royal Dynasty family Nii Ayite OSU III who rightfully installed King Boni Tackie Adama Latse II as GA Mantse into his family house in June 11th, 2011.
“It will further interest our most respected gentleman His Excellency the President John Dramani Mahama to know that all Traditional rights for King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II were all carried out on an Unlawful day when his Excellency the past President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has directed all institutions and agencies including religious bodies and the various communities not to hold any gathering whatsoever through a nationwide television broadcast as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown and sadly enough it was on that same fateful day of the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo Danquah state of the nation address that he issues these directives that his orders were flouted with impunity and the customary rites where stated in Nungua.
A clear breach of the President directives and an act of disrespect against the same president Nana Addo,” he noted.
The Ga traditional ruler urged His Excellency President Dramani Mahama to be more vigilant of State of affairs of Ga Mantse issues and stay from Tackie Teiko Tsuru II
“Please if you want the truth to be told and peace to prevail in the Ga State from now on the Ga Mantse chieftaincy issue then kindly please immediately invite the rightful chief Nii Ayibonte of GBESE mantse for a meeting to tell you the truth, anything else is complete act of lies and falsehood to dent your high level integrity and reputation within the Ga State,” he stressed.
He pointed out that Tackie Teiko Tsuru II was fraudulently and unlawfully installed by the previous NPP political fingures as the Ga Mantse on June 8, 2017 at Rev Bruce Thompson Residence also known as Kojo Hanson’s private residence at Darkuman without the knowledge of the GA Abola Piam Tunma We Royal Dynasty family head Nii Ayite OSU III and his Ga Paramount Stool Dzaase Council.
This illegal and unlawfully installation was actively led by the influential Ashanti Regional Chairman of Ghana’s New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bernard Antwi Boasiako, known as “Chairman Wontumi, former Mayor of the city of Accra and member of Council of State, Mr Stanley Nii Adjiri Blankson and and former Director of Operations at the Presidency, Mr Lord Oblitey Commey
Nii Ayi Ana Konteh l revealed that these aforementioned NPP top figures planned this palace coup d’état and forcefully removed Nii Adama Latse II who is a substantive Mantse from the Office with the statement and orders from above.
