FRED AFFUL has also been holding himself out as CHAIRMAN of the East Dadekotopon Development Trust.

2. Nii Adjei Boahen II and his elders therefore wish to inform the General Public that the said FRED AFFUL and Robert OKPOTI MENSAH are NOT TRUSTEES of the EAST DADEKOTOPON DEVELOPMENT TRUST [EDDT] and they HAVE NOT appointed by NII ADJEI BOAHEN II [the third settlor] and his elders to represent the Nmati Abonase Quarter on the East Dadekotopon Development Trust.

3. THE Public may wish to know that the EAST DADEKOTOPON DEVELOPMENT TRUST was formed pursuant to a consent Judgment of an Accra High Court dated 12th July, 2001 in suit No. L.353/97 BETWEEN Nii Kpobi Tettey Tsuru III, La Mantse [Plaintiff] on one hand and Nii Odoi Tsuru I, Lenshie Quarter Mantse and three citizens of the Lenshie and Nmati Abonase Quarters of La [Defendants].

4. The Consent Judgment of the 12 July 2001 ordered the creation of the East Dadekotopon Development Trust by the litigating parties. On 10th April, 2002, the above named Chiefs namely negotiated and executed a Trust Deed that formally created the East Dadekotopon Development Trust to be managed by 8 Trustees as agreed in the negotiations. The Trust was then duly registered as a corporate entity under the Trustees Incorporation Act, 1962 [Act 106].

5. In accordance with the Consent Judgment of 12th July, 2001 the TWO [2] representatives from the Nmati Abonase Quarter have always been appointed by Nii Adjei Boahen II, the Nmati Abonase Mantse [the Third Setttlor] with the consent and concurrence of his elders the Supreme Council of Nmati Abonase Quarter. 6. On 5th November, 2008, Nii Adjei Boahen II and the Supreme Council appointed the said Robert Okpoti Mensah who works at the Land Valuation Division of the Lands Commission to replace the late Edmund Tetteh Akuettey who had passed away. Barely two years into his stewardship, Nii Adjei Boahen II and the Supreme Council decided to REVOKE Robert Okpoti Mensah’s appointment and WITHDRAW him from the Trust after several complaints were received about his fraudlent activities in respect of the Trust lands and abuse of his office.

7. On 11th March, 2010 Nii Adjei Boahen II and the Supreme Council appointed Messrs Jeremiah Laryea Koney and Emmanuel Adjetey Koney to replace, Rex-Lawrence Tetteh Adjetey and Robert Okpoti Mensah respectively on the Trust. After Seven [7] years of meritorious service on the Trust, Messrs Jeremiah Laryea and Emmanuel Adjetey Koney retired and Nii Adjei Boahen II and the Supreme Council on 19th April, 2017 replaced them with Messrs Gilbert Oblie Lomotey and Daniel Jones Martey Kodi who are the current representatives of Nmati Abonase Quarter on the East Dadekotopon Development Trust in accordance with the Consent Judgment of 2001 and the Trust Deed.

8. In any case FRED AFFUL DOES NOT HOLD any Traditional Office in the Nmati Abonase Quarter or in La and parading in his self-styledname of NII OBOUR FRED AFFUL may be a smart way of covering up his past identity to mislead the General Public.
