NSA to Rallies Ghanaian and International Media Behind Constituency Games

The Resource Mobilisation and Partnership Committee (RMPC) of the of the National Sports Authority (NSA) has invited Ghanaian and international media organisations to a major Consultative Engagement and Endorsement Forum for the nationwide Constituency Games.

The forum, scheduled for Friday, 21 August 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the ESP Hotel, Labone, Accra, will bring together editors, sports journalists, producers, broadcasters and senior media representatives to help shape the communication and public-engagement strategy for the national initiative.

The engagement will formally present the vision, objectives and implementation framework of the Constituency Games, while outlining the media’s strategic role in public education, community mobilisation, transparency, accountability and grassroots talent discovery.

Media stakeholders will also have the opportunity to make professional recommendations and contribute to building broad national ownership of the Games.

The Constituency Games are designed to take structured sporting opportunities to every constituency and community across Ghana, creating an inclusive platform for young people to participate, develop their abilities and progress from the grassroots to the national and international sporting stage.

Beyond competition, the initiative seeks to promote national unity, community participation, healthy living and sustainable sports development while establishing a transparent pathway for identifying and nurturing talent throughout the country.

The forum therefore recognises the media not merely as observers or reporters, but as indispensable development partners whose platforms can connect the Games to millions of people in Ghana, across Africa and throughout the diaspora.

Media organisations are encouraged to nominate an editor, sports journalist, producer or senior representative to attend and contribute to the discussions.

Representatives outside Greater Accra may participate virtually. The Zoom session is listed for 11:00 a.m. West Central Africa Time and requires advance registration through the official Zoom registration link.

All in-person and virtual participants are required to complete registration through the official Constituency Games media registration platform.

The engagement is expected to mark an important step towards establishing a coordinated national media partnership capable of taking the message of the Constituency Games from every community in Ghana to audiences around the world.
