My life is in danger over BOST saga – COPEC boss

Executive Director of the Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC), Duncan Amoah is calling for police protection following incessant death threats on his life.

Duncan Amoah claimed his ordeal begun after calling for a probe into an alleged sell off of 1.8 million barrels of crude oil by Managing Director of the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation (BOST), Alfred Obeng Boateng.

Speaking on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem Monday, the frightened young man said ‘boys’ of the BOST MD have given him only three days to rescind his decision or be killed.

According to him, one of the ‘assailants’ who gave his name as Owusu used “telephone numbers (0554909352, 0269404436 and 0555095891) to curse, insult, attack and threaten my life, saying I will be killed in three days from yesterday”.

The COPEC boss said efforts to establish the owners of the numbers have not been successful, as the telephone numbers used by the alleged agents “seem not registered”.

“We will continue to ask the relevant questions without fear or favour so they can kill us”, he added.

Duncan Amoah said he has reported the matter to the Police, but has also taken some “personal security” measures to ensure his security is not compromised.
