The Member of Parliament (MP) for Agona East in the Central Region, Queenstar Maame Pokuah Sawyerr has charged newly elected regional executives of the NDC to work with commitment to return the party to power.
The NDC has elected executives who will lead the party in all the ten regions of the country.
The elections however ended last Saturday with some known faces in the party lossing to new candidates.
The Agona East MP Queenstar Sawyerr who congratulated all the newly elected leaders also urged them to work hard to ensure the party wins the 2020 elections.
Newly elected Central Regional executives, she said, must work extra hard to ensure that the party recaptures the region in 2020.
Pokuah Sawyerr also advised that victory can be achieved only when the party unites for a common cause, adding that “Lots of things might have happened before, during and after the polls, but we must learn to forgive one another and rally behind the NDC flag for victory in 2020.”
She said: “I am urging all the newly elected officers to remember that they need to work extra hard because we are in opposition, and we can only win 2020 when they work extra hard and with God’s support.”
