The Member of Parliament for Akyem Oda Constituency in the Birim Central Municipality of the Eastern Region, Hon. Alexander Akwasi Acquah, has donated foodstuff to 360 aged men and women his Constituency.
The beneficiaries where drawn from the eighteen electoral areas in Akyem Oda Constituency.
Hon. Alexander Akwasi Acquah gave them foodstuff like rice, oil, sugar, canned fish and tomato paste.
The Member of Parliament for Akyem Oda Constituency, Hon. Alexander Akwasi Acquah, speaking to the beneficiaries before the presentation intimated that the harsh economic conditions currently being experienced in Ghana is for a short period.
He used the opportunity to draw their attention to the special interventions the NPP government is putting in place to alleviate the hardships in the country.
He promised them that he will always be there to support them anytime the need arises.
The aged were so happy and expressed their appreciation to the Member of Parliament for such a kind gesture.
They pledged their loyalty to the President and his government and promised to continue and pray for the president and the MP, Hon. Alexander Akwasi Acquah, to succeed in everything they do.
