Cabic Stakeholders Durbar Against Drug Abuse Attracts Traditional Leaders, Students And Boxers

Cabic Promotions and Management, an accredited promotions company by the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) with the license to operate and to organize, manage and to promote boxers with its stakeholders have organized a grand durbar dubbed “Cabic Cooperate Social Responsibility”at the Bukom Boxing Arena to fight against the drug abuse among the youths.

Chief Executive Officer Mr. Ivan Bruce Cudjoe said the aim and the impact is to involve all stakeholders including the youths to fight against the growing use of drugs. “It is a social canker and it must be stopped”, he stressed.

 

 

He mentioned that, in the quest of fighting against this growing social canker, through boxing for the benefit of mother Ghana and it’s forward stride to greatness, he reechoed.He encouraged everyone to play their respective roles within their mandated domain who believe in impacting positively on the current generation for future posterity.

In order to fight against the use of these hard drugs, Cabic Promotions and Management together with Travel Matters limited is leading the way through a corporate social responsibility initiative dubbed “Cabic Drug Abuse Awareness Campaign ” which will be rolled out through amateur boxing tour in some major communities across the country with education and demonstration on the use an effects of drug abuse.

 

Mr. Emmanuel Aboagye Appiah from the Accra Psychiatric hospital indicated the harmful effects of drug abuse as it causes the abuser to suffer hallucinations and other psychological effects that one may get. “Those who abuse drugs mostly
have their judgement impaired leading them to involve in troubles” according to Dr. Frank Doudou. He therefore cautioned everyone to avoid abusing drugs and encouraged the abusers to seek medical attention and stop.

The event attracted students from Accra Academy, ATTC, HOTCASS, KATECO, NUNSEC, Wesley Girls and St. Marys SHS who interacted with the champion boxers managed by Cabic.

Meanwhile, Cabic Promotions and Management will organize it’s Xmas Edition on the 24th of December 2018 dubbed “Cabic Big Fight Night 2. This is to engage boxing champions and challengers to help push the agenda of stopping drug abuse in all its forms.

Cabic manages three WBO Africa champions, heavyweight Richie Harrison, super welterweight Patrick Allotey and super middleweight Emmanuel Martey.
