Christians have been advised not to see Easter as an occasion for celebration, but as time to reflect on one’s past and present life.
The admonition was given by the minister in charge of the Christ Divine Ambassadors Church in Agona Swedru, Rev. Isaac Ferguson Ackon during this years Easter festivities on the theme: “Experiencing the Power of His Cross”.
Addressing the congregation, Rev. Ackon said the crucifixion of Jesus Christ has brought redemption to mankind, irrespective of one’s religious belief, but stressed that that does not mean one should take this redemption for granted.
He bemoaned the situation where majority of Christians are taking advantage of this privilege to have fun instead of committing their life to God.
