Ensuro Moa Kuo, a community group in Akyem Oda in the Birim Central Municipality Eastern Region, has pledged to build a charity home as part of their 25th-anniversary celebration.
The group, founded 25 years ago, has consistently supported the Birim Central community and the nation.
They have members in Ghana and abroad.
In an interview with Oyerepa TV, Founder Mrs. Salomey Anafi explained that the charity home aims to provide a helping hand to vulnerable individuals in society.
“We established this group to support others, not just to attend social events,” she said.
Mrs. Anafi highlighted the need for a charity home in Akyem Oda, citing the absence of such facilities in the area.
“Many children in our town lack support so we want to provide a haven where they can receive aid.”
The group’s chairman, Samuel Appiah, noted that their anniversary celebration presents an opportunity to establish a lasting legacy.
“We’ve donated to orphans elsewhere now, we want to support our local community.”
Mr. Samuel Appiah emphasized the group’s core objectives: mutual support and aiding the needy.
“Giving back to the community is essential when we’ve been blessed,” added Mr.Anafi.
