The General Legal Council (GLC) has issued a circular instructing all courts not to grant Mr. Kwame Anning Fosu-Gyeabour audience, as his legal license has not been renewed for the year 2024.
It would be recalled that the General Legal Council (GLC) had suspended Lawyer Kwame Fosu-Gyeabour following a disciplinary hearing pending before the General Legal Council (GLC).
The circular emphasizes that Mr. Fosu-Gyeabour is prohibited from appearing in any court until further notice from the General Legal Council.
Any orders issued on applications filed by Mr. Fosu-Gyeabour during this period will be considered void.
The directive, issued on February 16, 2024 and signed by Justice Cyra Pamela C.A. Koranteng (JA), Judicial Secretary of the General Legal Council, comes from the Honorable Lady Chief Justice, who also serves as the Chairperson of the General Legal Council.
According to the Circular, all relevant parties are urged to comply with this directive immediately.
Meanwhile, information reaching this paper alleged that Mr. Fosu-Gyeabour has been see in some of the Courts defending cases for clients.
Checks however, indicated that Mr. Fosu-Gyeabour’s appearance in those Courts could be in strict defiance of the directive issued by the Chief Justice and Chairperson of the GLC.
