The coach of the Stallions of Burkina Faso, Idrissa Malo has indicated that he was confident of knocking out Ghana at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.
The Stallions defeated Ghana by two goals to one to book a place in next year’s CHAN tournament in Kenya after drawing the first leg 2-2.
Idrissa who is not new to the Baba Yara Stadium hinted that he knew his team will not lose in Kumasi.
“I told my players they can beat Ghana in Kumasi because when I was the coach for Real Club De Kadiago I came here to eliminate Kumasi Asante Kotoko and that was the motivation I gave to my players,” Idrissa stated at the Press Conference
“We created seven to eight chances and we could have scored all but then it didn’t happen that way. In the first leg in Burkina Faso, Ghana scored an own goal but the referee didn’t allow the goal for us. We could have won even in Burkina Faso
The Stallions netted two first half goals in Kumasi before Richmond Lamptey pulled one back for Ghana in the second half.
