
The newly elected Presiding Member for Birim Central Municipal Assembly, Hon. Clement Attafuah, who doubles as the Assembly man for the Tuwobotom Electoral Area, has called on Assembly Members in the Birim Central Municipality to come together to develop the Municipality.
It has been a long journey with about five attempts to elect a Presiding Member by the assembly after the immediate past Presiding Member, Hon Castro Asumadu’s term of office came to an end.
A fierce contests between the Assembly member of Aboabo and Nkwantanum electoral areas, Hon. Appiah Kubi and Hon Michael Sakyi respectively ended in a draw with 14 votes each.
The Presiding Member in an interview with Ghananews247.com urged all Assembly Members in the Birim Central Municipal Assembly to put aside anything called faction in the Assembly and work towards a common goal.
He bemoaned the concomitant of disunity and unrest as underdevelopment and stagnation which could be devil their respective electoral areas.
Hon. Clement Attafuah promised to continue the work done by the former Presiding Member, Hon. Castro Asumadu.
He said they will do their best make to bring more projects to their Electoral Areas.
The Honourable Member said He will collaborate with the Member of Parliament for Akyem Oda Constituency Hon. Alexander Akwasi Acquah and the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Victoria Adu Peprah to develop the Municipality.
Hon. Clement Attafuah urged the people to continue and vote for the current Assembly Members in the upcoming assembly elections next year so that they can continue with their good work they are doing now in their various electoral areas.
