
In a vibrant ceremony, Nana Asare Duodu Gyimah III was crowned the new chief of Akyem Ayirebi in the Akyemansa District, Eastern Region. Chiefs from Kotoku state, elders, and citizens of Akyem Ayirebi Traditional area attended the coronation.
The event kicked off with Nana Asare Duodu Gyimah III being carried on a palanquin, patrolling the town amidst singing and cheering in a joyful atmosphere.
During the coronation, Nana Asare Duodu Gyimah III expressed gratitude to the community for their support during challenging times. He pledged to:
– Unite the people
– Bring developmental projects to the area
– Support exceptional students’ higher education
– Facilitate T-VET education for handiwork enthusiasts
– Empower entrepreneurs
– Build nurses’ quarters
– Upgrade Ayirebi market facilities
– Provide land for farmers
Nana Afia Bamfoa Konadu Yiadom, Akyem Kotoku Maawrɛ Hemaa, urged parents to prioritize their children’s education, leveraging Ghana’s free SHS policy. She encouraged youth to develop vocational skills, emphasizing the financial potential in handiwork.
Nana Adakwah Gyaminah II, Akyem Bontodiase Hene, stressed unity and development, calling on the community to work together.
The coronation marked the beginning of a new era for Akyem Ayirebi, filled with promise and progress.
