A senior staff member of Cocoa Processing Company, Mr. Kingsley Owusu, has been enstooled as the Asafo Hene (Chief) of the Akyem Kotoku Traditional Council in the Eastern Region.
With over thirty years of service at the company, he was given the stool name Nana Owusu Ampem II.
In an interview with Ghananews247.com, the newly installed Chief, Nana Owusu Ampem II, urged the youth in Ghana, particularly in Akyem Kotoku, to be hardworking and self-sufficient.
He emphasized that God has provided everything necessary for survival, encouraging them to work hard to avoid relying on others for assistance.
He encouraged the youth to strive for financial stability and not settle for unemployment.
Nana Owusu Ampem II expressed his disapproval of unemployed graduates, emphasizing the need to utilize skills acquired through education to create something for themselves.
He advised the youth not to allow politicians to use them for violent purposes during the upcoming election, stressing the importance of peace.
Obrempong Gyenfi Saforo Kyere, the Chief of Akyem Srodai and Kontehene of Akyem Kotoku Traditional Council, advised Nana Owusu Ampem II to remain humble in all his dealings as the Asafo Hene.
He emphasized the importance of respecting God and the traditional authorities, acknowledging that chieftaincy is a divine appointment.
Obrempong Gyenfi Saforo Kyere expressed his happiness at the absence of chieftaincy disputes in the Srodai Division and committed to maintaining peace during his tenure as Srodai Hene.
