The Member of Parliament for Akim Oda Constituency in the Birim Central Municipality, Hon Alexander Akwesi Acquah, has donated to support victims of the Easter Monday heavy rain storm that hit the area.
This the MP did by giving cash amounts to the victims to buy roofing sheets and other items to refurbish their buildings that were completely destroyed by the heavy storm.
Hon. Alexander Akwesi Acquah donated Gh10,000 whiles the Senior Advicer to the President, Hon. yaw Osafo Marfo, donated Gh 25,000.
Municipal Chief Executive, Mrs. Victoria Adu Badu also donated an amount of Gh 5,000 with the Queen of Akyem Kotoku Traditional Area, Nana Hemaa Akua Asantewua II also promising to support with an amount of Gh10,000.
Areas where citizens benefited from the benevolent acts by the state officials are Ahenbronum,Nyanmasu, Srodai, Asenie, Guggisberg and Community Electoral Area.
The Member of Parliament Hon Alexander Akwesi Acquah in an interview with Ghananews247.com urged the citizens to continue to throw their support behind him so that he can deliver all the promises he made to them during the 2020 general elections.
He promised to work hand in hand with the Assembly Members to ensure developmental growth in Constituency.
Hon Alexander Akwesi Acquah expressed his profound gratitude to the Senior Special Advisor to the President for his incessant support to the constituency.
The NADMO Coordinator for the Birim Central Municipality, Mr. David Okyere, assured the affected persons of a quick action in ensuring that work they get sorted out as urgent as possible.
He expressed his sincere gratitude to the MP for the wonderful works he is doing in constituency.
Hundreds of building including houses, churches, schools and shops were ripped off during a rain storm that hit the Akim Oda constituency on Easter Monday. Several properties and persons were affected by the unfortunate incident.
