PHILANTHROPISTS SUPPORT 3 DEPRIVED COMMUNITIES.

Some Italian philanthropists, Osvaldo, Sergio, Astore and Redi have supported the construction of mechanized boreholes in three farming communities in the country.

The beneficiary communities are Ankaa, Subinso and Kweku Baah, all in the Assin North District in the Central Region.

The project, which is the brainchild of another Italian philanthropist Mr. Amaini was undertaken by a Ghanaian-based Non-Governmental Organization, Action Against Rural Poverty (AARP) which’s objective is to support people in deprived communities, in conjunction with the Assin North District Assembly.

The project is to help provide the people in those communities with portable source of drinking water.

So far, AARP has provided over forty eight boreholes to about twelve deprived communities across the country.
