The Spiritual Leader of Ahlulbayt mission in Northern Ghana and Zongo Chief of Tamale, Shehu Dalhu Abdul Mumin has called on Ghanaians to maintain the country’s enviable peace before, during and after the December 7 elections.
Shehu Dalhu Abdul Mumin who was speaking during the climax of Maulid Rasul which is the Birthday anniversary of Prophet Muhammad, quoted Prophet Muhammad when he encouraged reconciliation in our communities, since it was an important ingredient in nation building. He said, to make peace between two individuals is worthier than one’s entire prayers and fasting “Prophet Muhammad (saww).”
Shehu Dalhu Abdul Mumin also averred that religion without humanity is like body without a soul and hence, called on Muslims to reflect the good moral conduct of their Prophet Muhammad and emulate same to ensure peaceful coexistence.
He advised Muslims to win souls to the religion by deeds and not by preaching only.
According to him, Prophet Muhammad was tolerant, caring and loving; asking “Why do you have contrary attributes and still want to use him as your role model. It is unpardonable for a Muslim to be intolerant and violence.”
He said: “Our enemies as Muslims are not non Muslims but our own ignorance.”
Shehu Dalhu Abdul Mumin commended the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for his humble leadership as a Muslim vice president and commended him for gaining scholarship for Zongo students to study in Cuba.
He however advised Muslim to serve as ambassadors of the holy prophet (saww) by conducting themselves well in every set up.
He stressed that, it is a must for every Muslim to be peace loving and caring to humanity.

He called on all Ghanaians to contribute towards a peaceful election and pray to Almighty Allah to save Ghana from conflicts and war before, during after the elections.
