
The Member of Parliament for Akyem Oda constituency in the Birim Central Municipality Eastern Region, Hon. Alexander Akwasi Acquah, has presented ten taxis to drivers in Akyem Oda constituency for them to use them for work and pay.
The drivers during the 2020 election campaign called on the Member of Parliament for Akyem Oda constituency to help them get a car so they could use it for work and pay.
The MP promised them that if they helped him become MP for the constituency, he would help get the cars.
Many people say the MP who was then aspirin for the MP position is lying; he will not buy any cars for drivers; some say he is promising because of politics; others say so many things; but at long last, the MP has fulfilled his promise to the drivers.
The Member of Parliament for Akyem Oda constituency, Hon. Alexander Akwasi Acquah, addressing the drivers during the handing over of the cars to them, stated that he feels happy for fulfilling the promise he made to the drivers during the 2020 election era.
He said he would not promise what he could not do.
According to him, he has much respect for the people of Akyem Oda constituency, so he will not take them for granted.
Hon. Alexander Akwasi Acquah said all those who said he could not do the things he was promising said those things because of propaganda and politics.
Politics is for growth, development, and the warfare of the people.
It’s good to fulfill a promise made to the people.
According to him, in 2020, the drivers helped him in his campaign, and after that, they pleaded with him to help them get a job and pay taxes so that they could work with it and pay so that they could own the car later.
He said after winning the election, he would facilitate for the drivers to get the cars.
All the cars are from the USA, and they are in good condition.
He urged the drivers to work extra so that they could use the sales of the car to buy other cars for others to benefit as well.
Hon. Alexander Akwasi Acquah said the NPP believes everyone Ghanaian should own a property. That’s why they always make sure to create a platform for everyone so that it will be possible for everyone to own a property.
The Eastern Regional Vice Chairman of GPRTU, who doubles as the National 2nd Trustee, and also the Warfare Officer of Akyem GPRTU, Nana Asare Gyapong, advise the drivers to take very good care of the vehicle so that when the MP sees the car, he will be very happy.
He advised the beneficiaries to work hard so that they could pay for the car earlier so that their other colleagues could also benefit from the initiative.
He expressed his gratitude to the MP for how supportive he has been to them.
