“Akyem Oda Timber market workers clashed with Akyem Forestry Commission workers over the death of their colleague.
The timber market workers alleged that their colleague lost his life due to a chase by forestry guards, which led to his death.
“According to them, their colleague had gone to Akyem Abenase to collect wood.
On their return journey with the wood, they were intercepted by forest guards, who gave them chase.
During the pursuit, the colleague’s vehicle was knocked down, resulting in his death.”

In protest, the timber market workers demonstrated and destroyed properties belonging to the Forestry Commission.
Speaking in an interview the with the Media the Akyem Oda forestry commission manageress; Madam Cynthia Okaine debunked allegations that their car hit the deceased motor and killed him.
According to her it was the truck carrying the deceased that nock him down and truck killed him.
