Traditional Rule Still Held In High Esteem.

The perception which was once held by some, especially Christians that Chieftaincy was fetish because of the pouring of libation and slaughtering of animals associated with it, is beginning to change, as some members of the Clergy from royal clans are now been installed as Chiefs.

Not only Clergymen, but also top security personnel from the various security services are now being installed as Chiefs.

This observation was made by the Dompeahene of the Akuapem Abiriw Traditional Area in the Eastern Region, Nana Larbi Danquah I during the installation and swearing of the Chief of Gomoa Tarkwa in the Central Region, Nana Atta Kwakwa Egyir Opus u VII.

Speaking to GhanaNews247Online.com in an interview, Nana Larbi Danquah noted that Chieftaincy is a revered institution established by God, and has therefore urged Christians not to condemn, but embrace it.
