The Gomoa Benso branch minister of the 7th Day Sabbath Church of Jesus Christ, Pastor Nathaniel Agyei has said the Church’ believes in the partaking of communion as a symbol of the celebration of the Passover which was an instruction of God in remembrance of His redemption of the Israelites, but not Easter.
Speaking in an interview with Ghananews247.com on the essence of Easter to Christendom, he said Easter has no basis in the Bible, and as such the 7th Day Sabbath Church of Jesus Christ does not celebrate such event.
According to him, what the church believes in is the feast of communion which represent the sharing of the blood and body of Jesus, symbolizing the laying of His life to save mankind.
