Africa Build Show Launched In Accra

MIE Groups has, through its local partner GEO Vision, officially launched ground-breaking business-to-business (B2B) platform dubbed; “Africa Build Show (ABS).”

This event will be held on June 3 to 5th, 2020 in Accra, Ghana, at the Grand Arena located at the Accra International Conference Centre.

Founder and Managing Director, MIE Groups, Dubai, David Wang, during the launching said that, “According to the World Bank, IMF, G20, and the African Development Bank, the continent faces a multi-trillion-dollar infrastructure gap in the coming years. We regard this challenge as an opportunity to launch Africa Build Show 2020.”

Fadi Kaddoura, Vice President, Marketing and Sales, also averred that: “This new B2B event strengthens the position of Ghana as a gateway, trading hub and re-export centre in West Africa and the entire continent.”

According to Kaddoura with the advent of the 54-country trade bloc Afcta, African Continental Free Trade Agreement, the time is right to bring architects, building material suppliers, developers, real estate firms and ICT firms from across the globe together and provide them a one-stop-shop for business match making to lift Africa’s roads, railways, bridges, ports and airport to the next level is now.

Earlier in September, Nigeria’s Minister of Finance Zainab Ahmed said that Africa’s biggest national economy alone would need $3tr in infrastructure investments for the next 30 years to close the country’s infrastructure gap.

Africa Build Show will be co-located with the 4th edition of CTW Ghana trade fair and conference which will run from 03 – 05 June 2020 in the Ghanaian capital Accra.

Zahoor Ahmed, Vice President Strategy & Partnerships, MIE Groups, said: “With Ghana leading the pack of Africa’s fastest growing economies, we felt that Accra is the right place to kick off ABS 2020.”

ABS will be co-located with CTW Ghana, the successful trade fair and conference held annually in Accra.
