The Chief Executive Officer of Abronoma group of companies, Dr. Effah Nyarko aka Nyarkoaba Nyarko has stated that he has a lot of pity on the president for the current economic challenges that confronts the nation as a result of the coronavirus pandemic that has hit the global community.
“I pity the president in particular in all this situation because he and his government will have to contend with recent reduction in prices of essential commodities such as gold, cocoa, crude oil and others since these are the same items that hitherto would give government higher revenues to keep on implementing its good policies such as the Free SHS, planting for food and jobs, NABCO, Nursing and teacher training allowances, 1D1F and others”. He said.
The CEO further indicated that even though his outfits like the Kwahu Obo based Nyarkoaba Nyarko hotels and other recreational facilities would have been in good business, especially during this year’s Kwahu Easter festivities which also will mark its 5th year anniversary since its inception. According to him, he and other industry players will not be boarded by the call off of 2020 Easter festivities but rather urge all Ghanaians to support the president’s pronouncement of reducing social gatherings and adhere to the precautionary measures outlined for public safety because the move is only to save the lives of the citizenry.
“Life is much precious than gold and therefore I will call on all Ghanaians to heed the president’s call.
I will also thank nananom, especially Kwahuhene, Daasebre Akuamoah Agyapong, Otumfour Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, Osagyefo Amoatia Oforipanin and all traditional leaders for their corporation in this trying times because I know for a fact that due to this deadly pandemic, all important traditional activities such as “Adaekese” and others have all been cancelled He added.
