The Member of Parliament for Abuakwa South, Kingsley Agyemang, has extended support to the Muslim community at Kyebi Zongo in the Eastern Region as part of activities marking the Eid celebrations.

At a brief ceremony held on Friday, March 20, 2026, the MP presented assorted food items including bags of rice, sugar, gallons of cooking oil, as well as an undisclosed sum of money to support members of the community during the festive period.

The gesture, according to Dr. Agyemang, was aimed at sharing in the joy of Eid with the Muslim faithful and reaffirming his commitment to inclusivity and community support within the constituency.

He noted that Eid is a period that emphasizes sacrifice, generosity, and unity, values he said were essential not only to religious life but also to national development.

Addressing members of the community, the MP used the occasion to encourage unity and peaceful coexistence among residents, stressing the importance of working together to promote development in Abuakwa South.

He also called on the community to support the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Mahamudu Bawumia, in the lead-up to the 2028 general elections, expressing confidence in his leadership and vision for the country.

Dr. Agyemang emphasized that sustained political support would help ensure continuity in development policies and programmes that benefit local communities.

The MP was accompanied by constituency executives of the party, who also engaged with community members and reiterated the importance of maintaining strong relationships between political leadership and grassroots communities.

Leaders of the Kyebi Zongo Muslim community expressed appreciation for the donation, noting that such support would go a long way in assisting families during the Eid festivities. They also commended the MP for his continued engagement and support for the community.

The donation forms part of ongoing efforts by the MP to strengthen social cohesion and provide assistance to vulnerable groups within the constituency, particularly during important religious and cultural celebrations.
