Bestlink Ventures Cautions Public Over Oyibi Land

Bestlink Ventures Limited has issued a strong public caution to land buyers, developers, and the general public to avoid engaging with two individuals it says have no legitimate authority over a disputed parcel of land at East Oyibi.
The company specifically named Teittehfio Amarh Annang and Asah Tettey Mensah Tetteh Yanke, warning that any transactions conducted with them in relation to the land—measuring approximately 176.187 acres—are done at the buyer’s own risk.
According to Bestlink Ventures, the individuals are allegedly relying on a court judgment that does not apply to the company’s legally registered interest in the land. The company claims this has resulted in attempts to mislead, extort, and defraud unsuspecting buyers.
The caution comes amid a broader and increasingly complex land dispute involving multiple parties and conflicting ownership claims. Investigations and documents from the Lands Commission suggest administrative irregularities and overlapping claims tied to the same parcel.
At the centre of the controversy is a land certificate issued to the Nii Okpe Family, which is now under review following a formal petition challenging its legitimacy.
Records indicate that the Nii Okpe Family applied for registration in 2010 and later supported its claim with a supplementary court judgment in 2022.
However, Bestlink Ventures maintains that it had already lodged its own application in 2015, backed by an existing interest recorded at the Public and Vested Land Management Division.
Further complicating the matter is evidence of a 2017 public notice published in the Ghanaian Times, which officially announced Bestlink Ventures’ application under the Land Registration Law, 1986 (PNDCL 152).
Sources familiar with the case also point to possible administrative lapses, including claims that Bestlink Ventures’ file may have been misplaced or mishandled for nearly six years during the processing of the competing certificate.
As a result of these findings, recommendations have reportedly been made for the cancellation of the certificate issued to the Nii Okpe Family, while allowing Bestlink Ventures’ application to proceed to its logical conclusion.
To reinforce its position, Bestlink Ventures has cited its land certificate—Cert. No. TD.21517, Volume 019, Folio 3891—which confirms the company as the registered lessee of the land for a 99-year term from May 26, 1990, with an option to renew for an additional 45 years.
The certificate covers approximately 71.302 hectares (176.187 acres) at East Oyibi, subject to standard reservations, including mineral rights.
The company is therefore urging the public to exercise due diligence and verify all land transactions with the appropriate authorities to avoid falling victim to fraudulent dealings.
