The District Chief Executive for Asene Manso Akroso, Hon. Eric Ahinakwa, has urged Ghanaians to reset their minds for the development of the nation.
The DCE, in his address during the National Prayer and Thanksgiving Service, said we as a people must change the way we do things so that the nation can move forward.
He urged students to stay away from drugs and focus on their education so that they can achieve their goals.
He also advised them to respect the elderly and stop insulting them on social media.
According to him, “now if you go on social media you see people insulting their leaders, and so on, which shouldn’t be so.”
He noted that some people build houses anyhow without seeking building permits from the assemblies. They also build on waterways, and when it rains, it causes flooding.
He urged everyone to seek a building permit before building, and also to leave some space when constructing so that in case of any emergency, emergency teams can easily access their facility.
Hon. Eric Ahinakwa stated that very soon environmental officers will be going to various homes to check how we keep our environment. So he advised all to keep their homes clean.
He encouraged all to pay their taxes so that the money can be used to develop the district.
He promised that they are going to build a TVET school in Akyem Asene.
He thanked all for their support toward the development of the nation.
