His Royal Majesty Oseadeyo Dr. Frimpong Manso IV, Overlord of Akyem Kotoku, has challenged anyone who doubts the performance of Hon. Solomon Kusi Brako, Municipal Chief Executive of Birim Central Municipality, to come and see the development projects for themselves.
Speaking at the Akyem Kotoku Palace during a ceremony where the MCE was summoned over comments he made cursing the MP of Akyem Oda on galamsey issues, the Omanhene said.
“I have been on the throne for about 28 years, and no MP or MCE has worked in collaboration with the chiefs like the current MCE has done.”
He described Hon. Solomon Kusi Brako as truthful, respectful, and very hardworking*.
According to the King, in just one and a half years in office, the MCE has executed over 10 verifiable development projects in the Municipality.
He commended the MCE for his work and urged him to continue serving the people diligently.
Hon. Solomon Kusi Brako thanked the Omanhene and his elders for the correction and guidance regarding the curse he placed on Kotoku land.
He explained that although his family takes care of the river, he was not aware he needed to seek permission from the chiefs before going there to seek justice.
He pledged to always seek advice from the chiefs when the need arises, and noted that since his mother ministry, the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, directly deals with chieftaincy affairs, he will continue to work closely with the chiefs.
He promised to consult the chiefs on any matter that requires their advice.
