The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Asene Akroso Manso constituency, Eastern Region, have launched its 2024 election campaign in grand style.
Over 1,000 people attended the event, which was supported by Eastern Regional executives and other constituency executives.
NDC Parliamentary candidate Mr. Eric Ahenakwa Eric Ahenakwa called on citizens to change their voting pattern, promising to bring more developmental projects to the constituency.
He urged them to resist deception and financial inducements, and vote for him and former President John Dramani Mahama to transform the constituency.
Mr. Ahenakwa criticized the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for labeling Mahama incompetent, citing the current economic situation. He encouraged the youth to vote for NDC to secure employment opportunities and urged peaceful conduct during the elections.
The NDC constituency chairman advised party faithful to engage in door-to-door and room-to-room campaigning to ensure victory.
Dr. Oliver Kevor, Eastern Region NDC chairman, criticized the current MP for using the constituency for personal business instead of lobbying for projects.
He promised that if NDC wins, Eric Ahenakwa will receive a government appointment.
Kevor noted that the constituency has seen no major development since its creation, and the MP has been left behind by their own party.
He encouraged citizens to vote massively for NDC and be vigilant during the elections.
