Birim Central MCE Calls for Mass Participation in Clean-Up Exercises*

The Municipal Chief Executive of Birim Central Municipality, Hon. Solomon Kusi Brako, has called on all residents to actively take part in communal clean-up exercises.

Speaking to the media in an interview, Hon. Brako said eradicating sickness from our community requires collective effort to keep our environment clean.

He noted that typhoid fever is the most common disease in the municipality and it is caused by filth. To eliminate the disease, he stressed, we must keep our surroundings clean.

He urged everyone to come out in their numbers whenever a clean-up exercise is organized, and thanked all participants for their support.

Hon. Ayuba, Assembly Member for Kyeremi No. 1, also echoed the MCE’s call and encouraged residents to join all clean-up exercises.

The Chief of the Zongo Community in Akyem Oda, Saliki Alhaji Sulemana, commended the MCE for the work he is doing in the municipality so far.

He urged him to continue the good work and advised that clean-up exercises in the Zongo be made a periodic activity, not just a one-day event.

Prominent individuals from all walks of life took part in the clean-up exercise.
