Bastie Samir is ready to give Brimah Kamoko a rematch after ending the unbeaten record of the Bukom-based boxer in Accra on Saturday night.
The much-anticipated fight between the two sworn-rivals lasted 7 rounds after Bastie produced the performance of his career to defeat Kamoko popularly known as Bukom Banku. The win extends Bastie’s undefeated record to 16-0.
And speaking shortly after he was crowned the winner of the fight, Bastie Samir expressed his readiness to face the self-acclaimed ‘Boxing Graduate/ Boxing Ronaldo’ again.
“No problem I’m good, I’m always ready, so if wants a rematch I will give him that.”
“I know Bukom Banku is a strong boxer, a great fighter and I won’t take it from him, but I know I’m stronger and better than him. I know he can beat someone again,” he added
Bastie added, “My coach trained me very well, we never came for a knockout but we said if the chance comes we would take it and that was what we did.”
“He [Bukom Banku] said round six but I told him to pray hard because he won’t last after round 6. I even told him once I’m here, I have arrived.”
The Mayor of Accra presented a five thousand cedi cheque to Bastie Samir for winning the fight. The two boxers were subjected to receive GHS100,000 cedis each whether win or lose.
