The people of Gomoa Ekwamkrom in the Central Region have finally breath a sigh of relief after Nana (Dr.) Okogyeoman Ewuahaa II was installed as the new Chief of the town.
His installation follows the demise of the late chief of the town, Nana Ekwam IX about a decade ago.
He was sworn by the Asihen of the Gomoa Ajumako Traditional Area and Chief of Gomoa Brofoyedur, Nana Esuon Abonyi Kwatta V.
Known in private life as Dr. Edmund Ekow Kaitoo, Nana (Dr.) Okogyeoman Ewuahaa II had his secondary school education at Swedru Secondary School (SWESCO) after which he continued at Donetsk Medical School in Ukraine and Heidelberg University in Germany where he obtained his medical profession.
Currently, he is the Municipal Director of Health for the New Juaben Municipality in the Eastern Region and Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Shepherd Hospital at New Weija in Accra.
A staunch member of the Methodist Church, Nana (Dr.) Okogyeoman Ewuahaa II, swearing an Oath of Allegiance to the Chiefs and people of the town promised to use his status as chief and expertise as a medical officer to ensure total development of the town.
He therefore called for the total support of the people to help achieve this objective.
The Mankrado of the town, Nana Kofi Edu V later in an interview with Ghananews247.com also called on the people to rally behind the new Chief to ensure that the success of his reign.
