Mr. Kojo Ampabeng Asimeng has retained his seat as Chairman of the Akyem Oda NPP Constituency with a slim margin of 5 votes.
Chairman Asimeng won the election with 249 votes. His closest contender, Kingsley Kwegyir recorded 244 votes. The other two contenders, Rev. Elisha Asare Bediako and Alhaji Issaka Awudu, recorded 75 and 192 votes respectively.

In an interview with the media, the Chairman-elect, Mr. Kojo Ampabeng Asumeng, expressed his appreciation to God and the party faithful for giving him the mandate to lead the party again in the Akyem Oda Constituency.
He urged all members to put the past behind them and work together to win the 2028 general elections for the NPP.
He noted that his campaign was based on “Unity” and promised to ensure that all party members unite to build a stronger force for the NPP.
He also promised to collaborate with everyone to move the party forward, and thanked all for their support.
The Organizer-elect, Dr. Bernard Ernest Botchway, also said he is ready to work with everyone. He promised to bring all members on board to help the NPP return to power in 2028.
He advised all to let go of the past and work together.
