
Papaye Fast Foods Limited has opened its branch at Frafraha, a community within the Adenta Municipality of the Greater Accra Region on Friday, to help curb the issue of unemployment
It brings to nine the number of branches that the company has in the country after 30 years of existence. Other branches are situated at Osu, Tesano, Spintex Road, Lapaz, Awudome, Haatso , Tema and Weija.
Speaking at the opening of the branch, the Group Chairman of the Papaye Group of Companies, Dr Samir Kalmoni, explained that the cooperation of governments, media and consumers had resulted in the opening of the nineth branch of Papaye with total staff strength of 600.
He said over the years the company had operated as “good citizen” and adhered to all regulatory requirements on health and safety which included being environmentally responsible and also being the torch bearer in the fast food sector.
Dr Kalmoni urged the staff at Frafraha to remain focused, work hard and give out their best adding that “remember the customer is the reason you are in business.”
The Managing Director of Papaye, Mr Emmanuel Tefe, added that per the policy of the company, 60 per cent of the work force was from the community which was aimed at curbing unemployment in Frafraha and its environs.
He stated that the opening of the branch was in response to the increase of concern of people within the community to provide them with their share of Papaye.
