The founder of the Great Fire Tabernacle Church, Prophet Dr. Okofo Fire has blamed the abandoning of developmental projects by successive governments to the lack of a constitutional provision that will force elected governments to, as a mandate, continue every developmental projects left uncompleted by its predecessor before leaving office.
The situation has become a major political practice as numerous projects, since the beginning of the forth republic, have been left unattended to by successive governments for fear of crediting the previous government. Mention can be made of schools, health facilities, housing, roads and industries, among others that have been left uncompleted by successive governments and stand rotten to the detriment of the benefit of the people.
This situation, according to Prophet Dr. Okofo Fire, could only be changed if a provision is made in the constitution as a national blueprint to make it a mandate for every elected government to continue uncompleted projects left by its predecessor if not all. He said by so doing, it will help solve the infrastructural deficits facing the country.
