I am writing to express my deep concern about the recent fuel price increase.
The 2% hike in petrol prices and 5% increase in diesel prices will have a devastating impact on ordinary Ghanaians, particularly the poor and working class.
Fuel is a fundamental necessity for daily life, transportation, and businesses.
This price hike will inevitably lead to higher transportation costs, increased food prices, and rising costs of essential goods.
The government must consider the far-reaching consequences of this decision on vulnerable groups and implement measures to mitigate the effects.
Furthermore, there is a pressing need for transparency in the fuel price determination process. Ghanaians deserve to understand how fuel prices are set and the factors influencing these increases.
I urge the government to reconsider this approach and prioritize the well-being of its citizens.
Sincerely,
