Odauhene Daasebre Ofosu Kwabi Ayebeahwe, acting Benkuhene for Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Council Eastern Region, has announced that Akyem Begoro will soon have its own chief.
Due to chieftaincy disputes, the town has been without a chief, and Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin, the Overlord of Abuakwa State, has appointed Daasebre Ofosu Kwabi Ayebeahwe as acting regent.
Speaking at a durbar in Akyem Begoro during the Overlord of Akyem Abuakwa State visit to celebrate his 25th anniversary with the Benkum Division, Daasebre Ofosu Kwabi Ayebeahwe stated that plans are far advance to install a new chief, and Begoro will soon regain its former status.
He praised Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin for his support and commended him for his dedication to the Benkum division.
His Royal Majesty Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin emphasized that Akyem Abuakwa State is dedicated to Christ and urged chiefs to prioritize their relationship with God.
He encouraged citizens to develop their town together, remembering their roots and supporting their families.
He praised the government’s free education initiative, stressing the importance of education in national development.
Finally, he advised men to take responsibility for their actions and support the women they put in a family way.
