Assembly Election Is For Committed And Dedicated People

The Assembly member for the Zabon Zongo Salem and Nkubease electoral area in Agona Swedru in the Agona West constituency of the Central Region, Danlardi Usman has said local government elections need people with committed and dedicated hearts who are prepared to serve the people of their electoral irrespective of political inclination, but not for people who want to use the position to achieve their selfish interest, as there is not that financial reward at the Assembly, as perceived by some.

His comments follow the filing of posters by many to contest for the upcoming Assembly elections positions in various electoral areas. Speaking to the media during the construction of speed ramps in his area to help reduce overspeeding vehicles and also avert hitting pedestrians, especially children, Hon. Danlard Usman noted that one of her major priorities is to also seek support to convert the Islamic school in his area into a model circular school, in addition to the only public school in the whole electoral area, the Presbyterian Basis and Junior High School.

He further disclosed that drainage in the Zabon Zongo community also remains his major priority, as the area remained the worst hit community during the 2010 flooding in Agona Swedru. He later commended the former Municipal Chief Executives Hon. Samuel Kweku Opong and Hon.

Mrs. Marigold Assan (now Central Regional Minister), as well as the former Member of Parliament for the constituency, Lawyer Obeng Inkoom for their unflinching support to the development of the area in diverse ways.
