The University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA) has been adjudged the winner of the maiden edition of the National Accounting Quiz2017 in Accra.
The National Accounting Quiz 2017, an initiative of the Young Professional Accountants Network Ghana, creates an excellent opportunity for students to garner the interest of students to learn and gain knowledge about the accounting field and the accountancy profession.
It was opened to various Universities which are under the Ministry of Education, who would like to enhance their knowledge in accounting, commerce and business.
This year, universities went through group stages to finals.
Mr. Oheneba Kwabena Kena, the Executive Director of the YPAN Consult said the initiative is to ensure education for socio economic development and also ties the gap between academia and industry.

For their prize, UPSA takes home a trophy, GH¢3,000.00 in Databank Students Account awarded to the contestants , scholarships from Association of Certifies Chartered Accountants and intenships and job opportunities from YPAN Consult , management consultancy and recruitment firm .
Students of Central University
The Central University , emerged second and took home a plaque, Databank Students Account awarded to the two contestants, scholarships from Association of Certifies Chartered Accountants and internships and job opportunities from YPAN Consult , management consultancy and recruitment firm .
The third and fourth place went to the All Nations University College and Ghana Technology University College
