Akyem Aduasa clinic get facelift.

The children of the late Obaapeni Elizabeth Yeboah AKA Auntie Lizzy, have fulfilled their mother’s long-held desire by building and donating a fully equipped, ultra-modern laboratory facility to the people of Akyem Aduasa in the Birim South District of the Eastern Region.

Additionally, they handed over a completed school complex to the Aduasa Presbyterian Church.

In an interview with the media, the children shared that their mother often expressed frustration when, during her visits to the Aduasa clinic, she was referred to Akyem Oda for laboratory tests.

Her heartfelt wish was to see a laboratory facility established in the Aduasa clinic.

After her passing, the children took it upon themselves to realize their mother’s dream by building the laboratory facility.

The children appealed to the community to take good care of the facility, ensuring its longevity and benefit to future generations.

The Birim South District Health Directorate in called on Ghanaians, particularly those in the district, to join forces with the government to promote better healthcare for people living in smaller towns.

This appeal comes as the country battles a cholera outbreak.

According to the Health Director Mr. David A.Y. Mensah, every citizen can contribute to improving healthcare in their communities.

He emphasized that individuals can help facilitate health centers in delivering quality care, rather than relying solely on the government.

Mr. Mensah made this appeal while acknowledging the children of the late Madam Elizabeth Yeboah (also known as Auntie Lizzy) for their philanthropic efforts.

Hon. Kennedy Osei Nyarko, Member of Parliament for Akyem Swedru Constituency, expressed his delight at seeing such significant projects undertaken by a single family.

He appealed to the community to use the facilities responsibly.

Nana Abrokwa, Chief of Akyem Aduasa, thanked the children of Madam Lizzy for their generosity.

He encouraged the community to patronize the facilities and emphasized the importance of paying taxes to support national development.

He also called on other citizens to emulate the example set by Obaapeni Elizabeth Yeboah’s children.
